Basic Terminology

AP

Short for "Aramii Points." These can be obtained by donating to the site.

AMG

Short for "Aramii Gold." Gold can be obtained from adventuring or around the site

Age

The age of the ami simply indicates how many days old it is. A custom ami is born automatically old enough to breed.

Ami

An "ami" is the name for the many creatures you can find on the site. Amis can be of different breeds, and come in all different kinds of colors.

Breed

The breed of your ami determines what your ami looks like. You can see the list of all current breeds with more information at the Breed List, test them out in different colors at the Custom Test, or see them in other users' campgrounds.

Breeding

When amis reach breeding age, they can be bred to produce young. Breeding two amis together produces an ami of a higher generation with markings and colors carried down from the parents. If the breeds of the parents are different, it is chosen randomly.

Camp

Your Camp is where your profile information and amis are displayed. You can click to see your ami profiles here, too.

Clan

A clan is a way for groups of friends or people with common interests to meet. You can apply to as many clans as you like. Clans can have things like a treasure chest or other in-game benefits. A clan can also have forums for discussion or RP (roleplay).

Custom Ami

A Custom Ami is an ami whose colors and Markings you design yourself. You can test these out by using the Custom Test.

Gather/Gatherer

You can gather with your amis by clicking Adventure and choosing an area where you want to gather. Amis are either hunters or gatherers. If you have a gatherer ami, it can gather AMG and sometimes items for you. Each time you gather, you use one turn.

Generation

The generation of the ami is an indication of how many times it has been removed from a Generation 1 ami. For example, a custom ami is Generation: 1, and has no parents. If you breed two Gen 1 amis, the offspring will be gen 2. The formula to determine the generation of an ami's offspring is (1 + X) where X is the highest generation between the two parents. You can check an amis parents by clicking "lineage" on that ami's profile page. If an ami is higher than 1st generation but has no parents, that ami was caught in the wild rather than bred.

Hunt/Hunter

Amis are either hunters or gatherers. If an ami is a hunter, the ami can hunt for you. You can hunt with your amis by clicking Adventure and choosing an area where you want to hunt. Only amis that are hunters can hunt. By hunting, your ami can catch wild amis! Each time you hunt, you use one turn.

Item

You can find your items in your Inventory. These can be things like tokens, background wallpaper to decorate your amis with, or accessories and pets for your amis.

Inventory

Your inventory shows you all of the items you own.

Lineage

Each ami has a "Lineage," which you can view by clicking the "lineage" link on the amis profile page. The lineage shows you the parents of this ami. If the ami has no parents or the ami was caught in the wild, the lineage is blank.

Marking

See all the pretty designs in different colors that amis have? These are called markings. Markings and marking colors are either chosen by you for Custom Amis, or determined by the amis parents.

Marking Items

Marking items add/delete markings from your amis, and are available in the boutique. Items that add markings will make an ami show as "Marked" (since it was artificially marked, rather than bred) if the ami is gen 2 or above. "Marked" gets passed on to all future offspring. A marking eraser will erase a marking, and will make an ami show as "Marked" as well. The only negative consequence of "Marked" amis is that they cannot compete in breeding challenge.

Adventuring

By clicking on areas of the Adventure, you can choose to hunt or gather in a specific place. Not all parts of the map are always available.

Prefix

If you are the owner of an ami, you can specify its prefix. All the prefix does is change the order of amis in your campground.

Rollover

Rollover happens nightly (12AM EST). During rollover, you gain more turns (unless you have the maximum allowed). "Aramii Time," the time that appears on the right hand bar, is Eastern Time (EST).

Token

A token lets you create a Custom Ami.

Treasure Chest

You can click on the treasure chest (found by clicking Adventure) once a day to get a random amount of AMG. If you are in a clan, you can opt to use your clan treasure chest, which gives the chance of gaining more AMG.

Turns

The number of turns you have indicates how many more times you can hunt or gather with your amis. Every day at Rollover, you receive a few more turns.
